You are in the right place....join us Friday at 3pm est for a follow up on the Social Media Business Forum... If you have a question for Wayne and team you can submit it now.

Robyn Cobb

Question for Wayne: Has there been any talk of rolling SMBF out to other cities?

Phil Buckley

That's a great question!

Robyn Cobb

Thanks Phil, I'll answer it tomorrow at 3pm :)

Wayne Sutton

Does anyone know where to find Geno Church's slides? Great presentation! He said he would post them, but didn't see them on SlideShare.

Mel Johnson

I'm looking for them as well. Maybe I'll ping him about them.

Robyn Cobb

something that would be cool - a list of the Twitter IDs of speakers so we can follow the ones we like. (unless that is already posted somewhere.)

Mel Johnson

Mel Geno said he would post his slides today!

Robyn Cobb

Just in case you need to look these up, I'll submit another one early... How many people attended? Was the event able to hold more or were at your limit? Thanks guys.

Phil Buckley

Awesome thanks Phil!

Robyn Cobb

Hello. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Hey Patrick, good to see you here!

Robyn Cobb

Thanks. Good to be here and to see you here.

Patrick O'Keefe

So are we ready to get this party started?

Robyn Cobb

Good afternoon!

Damond Nollan

Hello everyone

Wayne Sutton

Ask North Carolina's King of Social Media in North Carolina.

Patrick O'Keefe

Hey Damond, thanks for joiningus

Robyn Cobb

Mr Sutton, Happy Friday

Robyn Cobb

Hey Damond.

Patrick O'Keefe

Patrick, there are no kings here :)

Wayne Sutton

Jeff is here too, wearing an orange shirt for Halloween

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Welcome Jeff!

Robyn Cobb

Hello Damond, everyone Damond Nollan played a hugh role in making SMBF happen. Clapping hands for Damond

Wayne Sutton

lol, I know, I know. Just kidding. Hey Jeff.

Patrick O'Keefe

So let me ask the first question if you don't mind

Robyn Cobb

Ask away Robin . Hey Patrick

Jeffrey L. Cohen

The forum last friday was quite impressive --

Robyn Cobb

Hey, Patrick. How's your Friday going?

Damond Nollan

Thanks

Wayne Sutton

how did you guys run such an smooth show?

Robyn Cobb

A lot of planning and lots of great volunteers

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Not too bad, Damond. Still catching up from being away. Haha. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Awww, thanks Wayne! I appreciate the opportunity to work with you guys. It was a real treat.

Damond Nollan

The content, logistics, it was awesome what's your secret

Robyn Cobb

*claps* for Damond.

Patrick O'Keefe

So I think Phil asked earlier how many people were in attendance?

Robyn Cobb

Robyn it was a mixture of experience by attending and participating at other conferences, understanding the community and setting goals along with a great team and volunteers.

Wayne Sutton

There is no secret to pulling off a great conference. Hard work wins every time

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Hi everyone.

Ginny Skalski

We had approximately 160 people in attendance at SMBF

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Hi, Ginny!

Damond Nollan

Hey Ginny

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I totally agree, I loved that you guys had 3 different tracks and you didn't assume everyone was coming from the same place or had the same needs

Robyn Cobb

Hey Ginny, welcome!

Robyn Cobb

Will there be SMBF 2010?

Robyn Cobb

Ginny Skalski in the house! I see LEDs

Wayne Sutton

We definitely know that people are on different levels with regards to social media.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Haha, Wayne!

Ginny Skalski

There will definitely be an SMBF 2010.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

LOL @ LEDs (very clever, Ginny!)

Damond Nollan

Hey guys and gals...

Jeremy Smith

Ginny is always well lit!

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Hey Jeremy, welcome

Robyn Cobb

Hey Jeremy

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I'm working on a case study about five Denny's restaurants in Colorado Springs, Colo. I did a video on it and one of the panelists at SMBF offered a critique b/c he had actually seen it.

Ginny Skalski

Yes there will be a SMBF in 2010 but it will be interesting to see how the social web has changed from now to then

Wayne Sutton

We would love some feedback from attendees and speakers.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

The North Carolina Social Media Underground Mafia (TM), an elite group of nameless individuals who you don't, won't and can't know, but who control 37.6% of Twitter, are forcing OurHashtag to hold the event next year. They can't speak about this, of course, but trust me...

Patrick O'Keefe

Very cool Ginny

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Patrick I love it

Robyn Cobb

So how are you soliciting feedback?

Robyn Cobb

ha, ha @iFroggy

Wayne Sutton

And OurHashtag operates out in the open with full transparency.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I think a survey is coming out soon, right?

Patrick O'Keefe

Speaking of North Carolina SM....I was really impressed with the community, I don't know that I've ever been to a conference where the folks were so friendly!

Robyn Cobb

IDEA about SMBF 2010, just came to me so bear with me ....

Ginny Skalski

We are preparing an email for attendees with a simple survey. Just a few questions of some things that will help us improve for next time.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Might I suggest next year you remind people to bring their snuggies

Robyn Cobb

We have spent a couple years building a very open community of social media folks.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Bear... snuggies... hmmm

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Will Snuggies be a 2010 sponsor?

Phil Buckley

ok had to reset my password, again

Chris Miller

I wonder what % of speakers were NC based? Speaks well for our state. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Welcome Chris!

Robyn Cobb

I was never cold at the event at any point in time, I have to say.

Patrick O'Keefe

As we look at "social media" and how it's changing where does the room attendees think it will be in 2010 that we didn't cover at SMBF in 2009?

Wayne Sutton

I liked that the sessions were long enough to go into depth about the topics, but I also think that it would be cool to have slightly shorter panels. What if you added a fourth track next year? And the fourth track could be divided into two separate topics, basically half the time for each.

Ginny Skalski

If you have a contact, Phil, let us know

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Hahahaha, Jeff. Nice.

Patrick O'Keefe

Phill & Chris, hello guys!

Wayne Sutton

Wow, Ginny, shorter panels? The content we had for our blogging panel could have filled a full day. Seriously,

Jeffrey L. Cohen

@Jeff No, not all shorter panels!

Ginny Skalski

I would think you could do an entire day just on blogs

Robyn Cobb

Less panels was the feedback I got

Chris Miller

I actually liked the three track set up. It encourages interaction.

Patrick O'Keefe

Really Chris? wow

Robyn Cobb

more presentations and demos and then some group ones

Chris Miller

Although there are more topics we could have addressed, we can consider options.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

@Jeff Keep the long panels, but add a fourth track of panels that are shorter.

Ginny Skalski

Thanks for the feedback Chris. I know in some time slots there was too much good content and people had trouble choosing.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

interesting feedback, shorter panels, extra tracks, thanks.

Wayne Sutton

Thanks Ginny

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I loved the idea of multiple tracks, some of the feedback I heard was sometimes the low level track wasn't always so low level.

Jeremy Smith

That's better than the other way around, though, Jeff (my opinion). :)

Patrick O'Keefe

@Chris @Jeff I would rather have more panels to choose from than less, even if it means missing out on something I love.

Ginny Skalski

I did have problem picking between Wayne's Blogging panel and Geno Church

Brian McDonald

Jeremy, I heard that too

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I agree about the beginner track

Robyn Cobb

I just want to say whoever decided to use the SignalShare wifi service is a genius, that was awesome

Phil Buckley

@Jeff that was my problem. There were a number of great topics at the same time.

Damond Nollan

Hey Brian I had the same dilemma

Robyn Cobb

@robyn - threaded conversations in here would be nice too

Chris Miller

Hey, Ginny, you have a really nice profile photo. Why don't you upload it here?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Both of my panels were "advanced," but it's always hard to put a pulse on exactly what that was.

Patrick O'Keefe

Brian is in the house... Brian that was a no brain-er, go to Geno's :)

Wayne Sutton

Phil, yes. SignalShare was AWESOME!

Damond Nollan

@Jeff I tried, but it won't upload on my work network.

Ginny Skalski

@ginny - I am not saying to remove allpanels, but some direct presentations. usually helps focus on topics and keeps parallels down

Chris Miller

Gotcha Chris

Robyn Cobb

And thanks to Brian for wifi

Jeffrey L. Cohen

@wayne I tried to do both but that was not best route

Brian McDonald

Ok, so some of the beginner tracks were not beginner... oops :)

Wayne Sutton

Hey guys you don't have to use the @ here :)

Robyn Cobb

The thing is, it's subjective.

Patrick O'Keefe

@Chris OH! I'm sorry, my bad I was incorrectly using the word "panel" for "sessions" there is a difference.

Ginny Skalski

Wayne I thought that was a good thing btw

Robyn Cobb

I think the @ is just happen, not needed.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

@Phil Thanks on WiFi coverage. I think it shows that it's an important, if not vital benefit for social media event

Brian McDonald

This is what Ginny looks like incase you have forgot: http://a1.twimg.com/profile_images/355950066/ginnyskalCropped.jpg

Wayne Sutton

That should have been habit. I know Ginny uses it in blog comments too

Jeffrey L. Cohen

you know Wayne/Jeff it's really hard though to keep some of the beginner tracks beginner b/c of the questions asked by the audience

Jeremy Smith

It was the best WiFI I've ever had at a conference and I liked the way the ads were displayed

Robyn Cobb

well the @ sometimes helps with who we are directing the comment too with many typing at once. The wifi coverage was excellent and SignalShare has a great product

Chris Miller

Thanks, Wayne.

Ginny Skalski

I love the picture of Ginny!

Damond Nollan

The experience level thing is sooooooooo subjective. It's very difficult.

Patrick O'Keefe

Wait I'm confused, what's wrong with the @ sign?

Ginny Skalski

@Brian, I remember reading tweet after tweet at SMXEast in NYC about the terrible wifi, it was really bumming people out

Phil Buckley

I agree Patrick

Jeremy Smith

Ok, new cliqset rule.... no @ when talking to people... this is not twitter :)

Wayne Sutton

Jeremy, the audience is the one that sets the tone and the level of sessions by their questions, even though the newer folks are less likely to ask questions.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Not a thing Ginny I was just saying you don't have to use it but you can if you like!

Robyn Cobb

Oh, I was just using it to direct my comments. lol

Ginny Skalski

I liked the multiple tracks too...Wish I could have attended. Will there be another one next year and when? Also is the conference a Triangle born-and-breed event or is it part of a national group? Either way, good job guys.

Lilyn Hester

Good and Bad WiFi sentiment seems to prevail on Twitter these days, saw it this AM while having a bagel

Brian McDonald

Did anyone mention the need for more Poken swag yet? :-)

Phil Buckley

@wayne I will not use the @ to talk to you

Chris Miller

Jeremy, true, in beginner tracks, advance people would hide out and ask questions and the beginners would be like what.

Wayne Sutton

I have poken envy Phil

Robyn Cobb

For example, the feedback I got from the community panel ("advanced") was 100% awesome except for one person who randomly told me that she got nothing from it and had been "managing communities since 1990." :) Yet, she asked no questions and had no idea what she actually wanted. Robyn and Wayne know who I mean, but the person isn't important - the point is that you can't please everyone. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Welcome Lilyn

Robyn Cobb

I agree Jeff.. someone actually said it in our panel that they thought it was a beginner intro.. All I know is when you sit on a panel with Wayne and Chris you feel like you have arrived :)

Jeremy Smith

At some point, you just give the presentation you came to give, answer the questions from the people who actually ask them and let the cards fall. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

more poken swag is nice and I am upping the ante on taking some Poken to another conference No v 8

Chris Miller

Agreed Patrick

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Thanks Robyn

Lilyn Hester

Patrick I agree with you. Can't please everyone

Brian McDonald

That was a great panel BTW Jeremy, Wayne and Chris, I attended that one!

Robyn Cobb

Personally, I really wanted a T-shirt. They were hot!

Ginny Skalski

Good point, Patrick.

Damond Nollan

wayne I will not @ you when talking to you anymore

Chris Miller

I am actually wearing the shirt right now.

Damond Nollan

All of the panels had value, in my opinion. I sat in on @Pistachio's beginner panel at 8:30 (fanbo) and she totally kicked it, you take away what you need

Phil Buckley

Ginny there may be some chances to get an SMBF tshirt coming up.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Thanks Jeff, Robyn, Brian and Damond. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

I am taking some Poken to mynext conf Nov 8, I would welcome everyone having one with their registration fee as an option

Chris Miller

Hello Lilyn, yes SMBF is a Triangle born event, we wish you could have attended too. Yes, there will be another in 2010. No date set yet.

Wayne Sutton

I agree Phil Laura's session was a great way to start the day

Robyn Cobb

I can't wait for SMBF next year, though. As I said on Wayne's blog, if they'll have me again, I'll block it off my schedule now/as soon as they have a date. SXSW, BWE and SMBF. :) Good company, right?

Patrick O'Keefe

Brian & Signalshare thanks for the wifi

Wayne Sutton

Great idea, Chris. I wish more people had a Poken because I haven't had the chance to use mine yet.

Damond Nollan

I wore my SMBF shirt yesterday

Chris Miller

Patrick why don't you just block off all of 2010 for SMBF!

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I also thought the keynote panel answering the questions was great, especially when we got to hear the "happy ending" analogy

Phil Buckley

LOLOLOL Jeff.

Patrick O'Keefe

Phil we'll have to talk to our friends at Poken for more swag

Wayne Sutton

I thought the venue was great, but the parking seemed to be an issue for some (sorry Damond, still major props)

Ginny Skalski

I won a poken, but Lucretia kept yelling for someone (was it Laurie...?) to get it.

Patrick O'Keefe

I love how you guys are transforming the Triangle. It is so good for us.

Damond Nollan

I was the one who traveled farthest within the state. I got ripped off!

Patrick O'Keefe

I demand justice! LOL. Just kidding.

Patrick O'Keefe

Thanks Damon

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I think the fact that I was so worried about WiFi and SIgnalShare that I forgot my Poken was my worst part!!

Brian McDonald

No problem, Ginny. :)

Damond Nollan

Chris I will not use the @ to talk to you either, lol

Wayne Sutton

Wait, Robyn you didn't get a Poken?

Wayne Sutton

I thought the Triangle tweetup was a great way to connect prior to the event

Robyn Cobb

Anyone have suggestions for topics not covered that you would like to see next year?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Amen Patrick

Wayne Sutton

Wayne, lets include Poekns with a few more $$ of registration as an option. Bulk buying and prompts them to get one. Then I have a plan around that and getting it populated

Chris Miller

I agree Robyn

Phil Buckley

Will people still use pokens in a year, or will something else come around?

Ginny Skalski

Jeremy you were already there, :)

Wayne Sutton

I'd like to see some more specific topics. Like "Building and Managing an Online Community" is not exactly a topic that lends itself to one hour. I think covering aspects of this stuff is probably the way to go.

Patrick O'Keefe

I was about to say that Ginny

Robyn Cobb

Ginny, it doesn't really matter, any swag is considered good swag

Phil Buckley

Ginny, actually E is a much better platform, but Poken seems to have a small hold

Chris Miller

ha, thanks Wayne

Jeremy Smith

Thanks Wayne!

Lilyn Hester

I would have like to learn about how to use tools like FeedBurner that can give you view of how users are consuming data from RSS

Brian McDonald

So, Patrick, more specific topics?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I like that one Brian. #Feedburner

Damond Nollan

Thanks Robyn, hey is there a way to show how many people are in a cliqset chat in real-time?

Wayne Sutton

I agree with Brian, a technical path might have been interesting

Phil Buckley

Yeah, I mean, that's my thought. :) Maybe the speaker can held set that stuff, since we'll have more lead time next year.

Patrick O'Keefe

Someone mentioned demonstrations earlier.

Damond Nollan

And more time to actually plan sessions a little.

Patrick O'Keefe

That might fit with Ginny's suggestion of some shorter panels, maybe laser focused on a tool of idea.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

was there something on the "newest" tools, pro's and con's? and what each panelists thinks of them?

Jeremy Smith

Can we create a shared voting on panel/session ideas for next year?

Chris Miller

"How to Handle Community Members that don't Follow Ground Rules " would be a good topic

Brian McDonald

Damond & Ginny I had on my shirt last night -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/waynesutton/4056290391/ :)

Wayne Sutton

Not right now but I think it's coming we could do a roll call wayne

Robyn Cobb

A little bit of chat time in the halls between sessions would have been appeciated

Phil Buckley

Hilarious Brian, I was just thinking of joking...

Patrick O'Keefe

"I'll demonstr ate how to ban people." LOL

Patrick O'Keefe

Brian that would be a great toping lol

Robyn Cobb

But that's an aspect I mean... Dealing with Troublemakers, Promoting an Online Community, Monetizing an Online Community, etc. That way, we can get in depth.

Patrick O'Keefe

I think instead of Poekens, you should give out T-shirts and Sharpies. Everyone can just write their info on the back like we did in high school when we signed our Class Of 19XX shirts.

Ginny Skalski

Ginny wants a shirt..

Wayne Sutton

It would save money!

Ginny Skalski

Patrick Yes I'm all for that topic. I had to do it yersterday on LinkedIn

Brian McDonald

Kick someone out that is

Brian McDonald

If you came to the panel, you know we talked about structure, cultivation, monetization and something else, but we could only get surface level.

Patrick O'Keefe

Patrick is looking for a Community Track

Jeffrey L. Cohen

How about your contact info (if you pre-reg) as a QR code on the back of your shirt?

Phil Buckley

Haha Jeff.

Patrick O'Keefe

Patrick, so are you talking more nuts and bolts versus general discussion?

Damond Nollan

Patrick you know it man

Wayne Sutton

Not a bad idea though Jeff

Robyn Cobb

what about a panel dedicated to case studies on successful plans either using a specific tool, and/or an overall campaign

Jeremy Smith

I guess, Damond. Like, for example, if we did a panel about monetizing an online community, we could talk about it more than just basic ideas. Like, we could go in detail about dealing with ad networks, using ad servers, selling direct ads, etc. etc. and ways to use them that are specific to an online community.

Patrick O'Keefe

I truly enjoyed SMBF. More than anything I left feeling very inspired.

Ginny Skalski

Damond, Brian we need to have a poken coffee meetup, walk in poke and leave

Wayne Sutton

maybe thats too general

Jeremy Smith

How about if you do a poll similar to SXSW on panels for 4th track.

Brian McDonald

We just dug into some data, Phil and only 27% accessed wifi with iphones. QR codes have a high geek factor, but may not be relevant in a conference of BBs.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

That's just one example. Take the trouble maker example. We could talk about identifying violations to your guidelines, documenting them, banning people, what to do when they come back, etc. etc.

Patrick O'Keefe

Nice Chris, what did people say when you wore your SMBF shirt?

Wayne Sutton

<----- Has a cheap pay as you go phone.

Patrick O'Keefe

Wayne, yeah cause nobody seems to have them around here. #Poken

Damond Nollan

Wayne I almost brought my Poken to lunch today so I could use it with you and Jeff, never took it out of backpack

Brian McDonald

You guys are poken crazy

Robyn Cobb

people liked the shirt design and color yesterday.

Chris Miller

Why do I need poken if I have bump on my iphone

Robyn Cobb

Yeah, I can see that Jeff, sometimes my geek side takes over for a minute

Phil Buckley

Gots to go. Can't wait for SMBF2010!

Ginny Skalski

The shirt design is really nice.

Patrick O'Keefe

Yes Ginny, I was about Parking, glad no one got a ticket... I don't think anyone did.

Wayne Sutton

Happy halloween everyone!

Ginny Skalski

Also Patrick how to you do community management with multiple admins?

Brian McDonald

Thanks for coming by Ginny!

Robyn Cobb

Bye, Ginny!

Damond Nollan

Thanks for the chat Ginny. Glad you were inspired by SMBF

Jeffrey L. Cohen

If you can help it, you don't. LOLOLOL. ;)

Patrick O'Keefe

Wayne I have a suggestion

Robyn Cobb

Bye Ginny, Happy Halloween

Brian McDonald

for a session

Robyn Cobb

Robyn, it is Poken crazy but easier to trade social data then business cards and they update as the person changes the poken card

Chris Miller

As far as parking, I later found that they opened the campus to us. So, we could have parked anywhere.

Damond Nollan

(Last message directed at Brian, sorry).

Patrick O'Keefe

how about how to manage multiple SM accounts and voices

Robyn Cobb

Parking was great for me. I got in early as per Jeff's recommendation. But, there were spots late in the day, too.

Patrick O'Keefe

How about a panel on using new media to slap your old media bosses upside the head before they go bankrupt (just askin')

Phil Buckley

Wayne parked out on a street and... I'm not saying anything here... but he might have deserved a ticket... again, not saying anything...

Patrick O'Keefe

Thanks for the suggestion Robyn

Jeffrey L. Cohen

So did I Patrick and I got a great spot

Robyn Cobb

lol Patrick... why do I get the feeling that I'm like 10min behind in this real-time chat?

Wayne Sutton

Patrick, I agree but what about for trade groups where you need to share workload, on vacation, etc?

Brian McDonald

Will old media still be relevant next year, Phil?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

haha Wayne.

Patrick O'Keefe

oh Jeff, that hurt

Phil Buckley

I think we need to crowdsource Robyn a poken

Wayne Sutton

Yep. Short answer is to limit the number of chefs and set some policy. But, we can go farther in detail, of course.

Patrick O'Keefe

I'm all for that lol

Robyn Cobb

Isn't Wayne Mr Real Time web? He needs to type faster for chat!

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Just kidding Phil

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Hey Everyone!

Ryan Boyles

Patrick, do you have examples of policies you use? I would imagine people would appreciate those types of resources as well.

Damond Nollan

Chris are you planning a Poken SMBF take over for 2010? then no one would attend any sessions, they'll be outside poken

Wayne Sutton

Hey, Ryan!

Damond Nollan

Hey Ryan!

Robyn Cobb

I learned a lot about email marketing which I'm not expert or very exprienced in. Already using some of knowledge from Blue Sky Factory

Brian McDonald

(late to the party as usual)

Ryan Boyles

I think some sessions needed to be culled back to 30 or 45 minutes, but others needed to go 2 hours for sure.

Phil Buckley

Hey Ryan. Was just talking about how Lucretia influenced you to get the poken I rightfully deserved as the person who traveled farthest for the conference within state. lol. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

good point Phil

Ryan Boyles

We will pass that on to BSF, Brian

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Not a takeover, it is too fast to walk and trade contact data. Imagine if the sponsors could capture that too Wayne?

Chris Miller

Ginny: since Poken was a sponsor I will say they will be around in a year... remember it's RFID technology.

Wayne Sutton

So Guys did you have any key learnings maybe things you won't do next year or should do next year?

Robyn Cobb

Damond, I have an example of the policies I use for user guidelines and for my moderators, but I don't share admin roles, so I don't have any for those... if I needed to, I co uld come up with some, though!

Patrick O'Keefe

Patrick isn't Building and Managing an Online Community a book title?

Wayne Sutton

lol... just about... not my book, though. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Did anyone mention that the food was good? Both breakfast and lunch was right on the money.

Damond Nollan

Robyn, we are still compiling feedback, but the biggest thing is start farther out.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Agreed. Food was good.

Patrick O'Keefe

Patrick, have a user community conference on Outer Banks in the Spring. I will bring my board and camp out!!

Brian McDonald

Damond is right, although more donut muffins wouldn't have hurt :-)

Phil Buckley

Appreciate the suggestion/support. The OB is too hard to get to. ;)

Patrick O'Keefe

I was very happy with food and wifi - better than a bunch of big time conferences i've been to. (just sayin')

Ryan Boyles

Great idea, Brian. I need a reason to visit the Outer Banks.

Damond Nollan

No more posting until I catch up

Wayne Sutton

I actually just discovered a second person who knows what they're doing that lives out here.

Patrick O'Keefe

Great point Jeff

Robyn Cobb

I was reallyhappy to sit next to Robyn without knowing she was a big wig sponsor

Phil Buckley

Perfect Patrick, we stream WiFi from one of the lighthouses and light up the whole beach!!

Brian McDonald

Outer Banks SMBF? hmmm

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Ha Phil I am no big wig, it was nice though hanging out...I appreciate you making me feel so welcome!

Robyn Cobb

What are you guys going to do with the video captured during the sessions? As mentioned earlier, some people missed out on other sessions.

Damond Nollan

If you are doing Outer Banks might I suggest July?

Robyn Cobb

Peak tourist season. Nice pick.

Patrick O'Keefe

We really appreciate everyone's attendance and support for SMBF. It made it a wonderfully satisfying day for us.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Too hot in July, too buggy

Brian McDonald

Ok how about August lol

Robyn Cobb

Yes, we have a lot of people to thank

Ryan Boyles

Is everyone typing or thinking?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

I'm banning people on one of my communities right now...

Patrick O'Keefe

I think Wayne's catching up

Robyn Cobb

Plus typing and thinking, of course... always be typing and thinking...

Patrick O'Keefe

I'm banning people from my community too!

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Wayne might have ran to find a dark alley somewhere that he can charge.

Patrick O'Keefe

Jeff how was the after party?

Robyn Cobb

Or typing blogs posts, reading, thinking and then typring back (oh wait that is me)

Chris Miller

nice Chris

Jeremy Smith

Robyn I was not able to attend. Ryan, details?

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Chris have you posted the list of all the monitoring tools yet?

Robyn Cobb

The after party was small, but good.

Patrick O'Keefe

I had an awesome conversation with Damond.

Patrick O'Keefe

Good --

Robyn Cobb

yep, posted days ago on the new site redesign http://blog.thesocialnetworker.com

Chris Miller

The after party was cool. We had a chance to further talk and connect. That's where I found that Patrick is the MAN.

Damond Nollan

How did I miss that? thank you!

Robyn Cobb

Awesome Chris - this is something i've got to do a deep dive on for IBM

Ryan Boyles

Robyn, try this list: http://wiki.kenburbary.com/ for social media monitoring

Jeffrey L. Cohen

great thank you!

Robyn Cobb

ok, I'm up to real-time on the chat

Wayne Sutton

Hello Ryan!

Wayne Sutton

Who is interested in an Analytics Barcamp? Web, Text, Social, Enterprise, etc etc

Ryan Boyles

Hi Wayne!

Ryan Boyles

Thanks Damond, that means a lot. :) Though, you were probably pretty tired and may have mistaken me for the man.

Patrick O'Keefe

I LOVE analytics.

Damond Nollan

Patrick you will never let the charging off the monarail go?

Wayne Sutton

lol. It's a fun memory, Wayne. :)

Patrick O'Keefe

Ryan I would be interested and have some Analytics peeps at Zencos and SignalShare that would be interested

Brian McDonald

it sounds like for SMBF 2010 we need to go over more tools

Wayne Sutton

LOL I see all of you on the site live on Woopra

Chris Miller

who is in Fuquay?

Chris Miller

Wayne, yes....people like tools.

Damond Nollan

I'm not on your site. But, my IP shows up as Charlotte. lol

Patrick O'Keefe

I'm in Smithfield

Damond Nollan

That's about 7 or 8 hours away.

Patrick O'Keefe

Brian and anyone else - AnalyticsCamp wiki is going live/public soon.

Ryan Boyles

Chris you stalker

Wayne Sutton

yeah, tools, monitoring measuring, etc is a hot

Jeremy Smith

Robyn: I just went to a new page in this tab, and used my back arrow to come back. It took me to the beginning of the chat with 18 comments. Had to refresh to get back current.

Jeffrey L. Cohen

Jeremy and Chris, we need a real-time heatmap too to show off

Wayne Sutton

Ok Jeff, thanks for the feedback

Robyn Cobb

not a stalker, utilizing monitoring tools. Oh that session I attended! I have been using Woopra a long time. I have their "temp" package that doesnt show up anymore.

Chris Miller

ha Chris good one

Robyn Cobb

That sounds like something police will be hearing more and more nowadays.

Patrick O'Keefe

"Not a stalker, utilizing monitoring tools."

Patrick O'Keefe

Question for Jeff, Wayne and Patrick

Robyn Cobb

Patrick

Wayne Sutton

Remember Creepy is THE word in monitoring

Brian McDonald

Do you like the way this chat is scrolling better than the one the other day?

Robyn Cobb

last question. Getting ready to jump off
